About the author
German Giudici is the creator and editor of the Global Airport Guide for passengers, active since 2007 and specialized in offering practical information and real traveler experiences at airports around the world.
From local classifieds to airports worldwide
Between 2001 and 2006, German Giudici created Zonalitoral.com, one of the pioneer websites in the Santa Fe (Argentina) region during the early .com years. The project began as a platform for buying and selling used items and became a leading affiliate of MercadoLibre.com in Argentina.
Between 2005 and 2007, while trying to develop a broader travel guide, the idea emerged to focus on a specific niche within the travel world: airports. From that brainstorming process, the Aeropuertosdelmundo.com.ar project was born.
Birth and expansion of the Airport Guide
In 2007, Aeropuertosdelmundo.com.ar was launched as the starting point of the airport guide for passengers. In 2009, the Portuguese version Aeroportosdomundo.com went live, followed in 2011 by the English version Airportsdata.net (originally under the domain Airportsoftheworld.com until 2014).
In 2019, Aeropuertosdelmundo.net was launched, targeting the Spanish-speaking audience across Latin America. Over the years, the project has grown to cover around one thousand airports worldwide, combining official data with the real experiences of passengers.
The era of single-airport guides
Between 2020 and 2024, the project took a further step by creating sites dedicated to a single airport, going deeper into services, tips, and specific experiences at each one. This led to the creation of sites such as Atlfly.com, Fly-mia.com, Jfkfly.com, Fly-fll.com, Orlandomco.com, Airportden.com, La-lax.com, Flyschiphol.com, Aeroparquebuenosaires.ar, Aeropuertoezeiza.net, Fly-ord.com, Dfwfly.com, Fly-bwi.com, Aeropuerto-mex.com, Panamatocumen.com, Aeroportogru.com and Riogig.com, among others.
Each of these sites combines practical information (flights, terminals, transport, services) with the analysis of hundreds of passenger reviews and the team’s own experience, focusing on helping travelers understand what they can expect from each airport.
Affiliate experience and traveler services
Between 2007 and 2011, through Aeropuertosdelmundo.com.ar, German Giudici became one of the main flight sellers in the affiliate program of Despegar.com.
Since 2015 and up to the present, he has been an affiliate of Booking.com and also collaborates with other key travel brands such as Discovercars.com, Civitatis.com, Holafly.com, Priority Pass and Lounge Pass, always with the goal of offering useful and trustworthy options for passengers.
Project philosophy
The philosophy of German Giudici and the Global Airport Guide is simple: every passenger deserves to arrive at an airport knowing what to expect, what usually works well, what often fails, and how to make better decisions before, during, and after their trip.
As a frequent traveler and amateur marathon runner, German has used many of these airports in his own international running trips, which reinforces the practical, experience-based perspective behind the guides.
This is why the content combines official data with on-the-ground observation, review analysis, travelers’ frequently asked questions, and real user experiences from all over the world.
